How best to enjoy mead
Traditional preparation of mead
Elissa mead can be consumed at room temperature or chilled. In summer, it is refreshing when served with ice and a slice of lemon. Remember that mead is a natural drink that needs no additional flavouring. Elisa is great as it is.
Hot mead
Heat the mead in an uncovered pot, ideally in a water bath or over a low flame. The temperature should not exceed 50° and the drink must not start to bubble. As soon as the mead starts to steam slightly, the drink is ready.
You can also heat the mead in the microwave, it will not detract from the taste. At normal microwave power, 30 to 45 seconds is sufficient. Heating the mead will bring out its aromaticity and flavour and will beautifully fragrance your apartment.
